In order to encourage the children to think about our local environment, we see how many people can walk (run, job, skip, hop, cycle, pogo stick, space hopper, scooter - you get the idea!) to school each Wednesday.
The winning class win not only the coveted GOLDEN BOOT, but also the chance to earn extra play time.
This week's winning class (week beginning 8th December) is ROCKETS. As next week is our last WWW of the year, we're aiming for EVERY class to have at least 16 walkers so the whole school earns some extra play.

The Lunch Box Challenge got off to a brilliant start today. The Eco Team were fantastic; they sorted rubbish into different year group bags and helped the children work out what could be re-used or recycled rather than thrown away.
The year group with the LEAST amount of rubbish this lunch time were Year 4, followed by Year 5, Year 3 and then Year 6.
We hope that this encourages the children to think about reducing the amount of rubbish that we, as a school, send to landfill.
