The school operates a House System. On joining the school each child is placed in one of six houses:

Ash, Oak, Elm, Chestnut, Beech or Lime.

During the school week the children can earn housepoints for good work, being helpful etc. At the end of the week the number of housepoints earned by members of each house are added up and the house with the most points is announced in Friday's Achievement Assembly. A tally of which house wins the weekly contest is kept and the members of the house with the most wins over the term are rewarded with an end of term treat. The treat usually takes the form of a local trip, for example a trip to the Active Zone at the local Leisure Centre.
